1. The colour and texture of the wrapper differ from those used in other countries. Brown and colorado colours are typical of Vuelta Abajo (Pinar del Río).

2. The taste of the cuban wrapper is slightly sweeter. Connecticut wrappers, used elsewhere, are nice but tasteless (like paper).

3. The cap is always finished in a particular manner that differs from all others.

4. The aromas before ignition are many ,standing out particularly the heavier and more unusual aromatic substances. Dominican and others have a spectrum which is mainly limited to the floral, fruity tonalities.

5. The Cubans are dinamic as the smoking advances. Aroma and taste evolve gradually, getting better ermanently until the end. Those of others countries are monotonous without evolution.

6. Certain aromatic tonalities are exclusively Cubans: nuts, chocolate, mushrooms, vanilla, caramel.

7. Havano smokers perceive a strong „taste in mouth“ during the second third of their cigar, due to the heavier aromatic substances condensating or sedimenting in the palate or mouth. These heavy ethers, aromas, do not exist in the non-Cuban varieties.

8. In general the no cuban tobacco uses just 2 types of leaves in the filler (instade of 3): one type of leave for the strength and another one for the combustion.

9. As all no cuban tobaccos use the bunching mashine to make the filler, the leaves are not distributed in a concentrical manner (ligero, seco, volado), but in an irregular manner that influences the uniformity of the combustion.

10. Between the three cuban leaves there is one (ligero) which is reponsible for the cigar’s strength in taste. It could never be equalized.
That is the most important reason why cigars from other countries, in comparison with Cuban cigars, are insipid (kitschy).

11. The cuban tobacco has got more suger and less nicotin then other types of tabacco.
