RURAL TOURISM Rural tourism is an incipient modality in Cuba, nevertheless we have several sites. Its practicing brings you to visit peasants zones, knowing the traditional crops and the local habits and in a particular way the culture of these sites. The tourist enjoys a beautiful landscape where the human and the nature shake hands. That is ,practicing the UNESCO'S idea (and promoted by them)of the "cultural landscape". Some new products and proposals of the Cuban tourism are according to this modality and some of them, to accentuate that vacation have been baptized with the generic name of "fincas". Finca Campesina San Vicente. Hidden among the tendrils near to Viñales in Pinar del Rio is a truly zone "finca" with all its traditions, without the typical "done for tourist" and if you prefer, the visitors can stay and sleep in the very "Bohío" of the "finca" and in this case, at evening you'll hear the lonely song of the Cuban "solitaire", an endemic bird of this country, there are lots of them here, a real gift for the spirit. Villa Finca de Don Pedro. A good place to rest in a comfortable bungalow-bohío located in the Jagüey Grande outskirts at the southern of Matanzas. Sendero Yaguanabo Arriba. A path by the southern part of Escambray Cienfueguero. You can go in an appropriated car, or ridding a horse, on mountain-bike, or the residents can go on foot. This part leads to the Yaguanabo Arriba town, a traditional and fraternal community that you'll like a lot.
